Review by: Ben Matterson
Lately I’ve been putting Dymatize Elite Whey through it’s paces! Dymatize Elite Whey is one of the top 10 selling whey protein supplements in the USA, so I thought it was about time I tried it out and wrote a review for this site.
I bought I 5lb tub to Dymatize Elite Whey which lasted me about 6 weeks or so. Here’s what I thought of the product…
Dymatize Elite Whey Review:
Price:
Ahh, the all important price! I picked up my tub of Dymatize Elite Whey for $37, which I though was a good deal. I bought it online, so you could expect to pay a bit more for it in the store. Looking at it’s competitors, Dymatize whey was slightly cheaper. Most of the others in the same category were priced between $42-$50. So a good score here.
Score: 9/10
Taste:
I have got to say I was a bit disappointed with the taste of Dymatize Elite Whey. Compared to other when supplements I’ve tasted it was a bit bland. It reminded me of what protein supplements used to taste like 10 years ago. Don’t get me wrong, it was still very drinkable, just not as good as a lot of the other top brands. I tried chocolate flavor.
Edit: I just wanted to say that although I didn’t like the flavor that much, it did not have a bad after taste like some protein shakes can.
Score: 6/10
Mixability:
No problems here. I tried it both in the blender and shaker (for testing purposes, I usually just use a shaker) and both were fine. No lumps, no gritty bits. I even tried just giving it a half-hearted shake in the shaker to see if it would mix. No problems at all.
Score: 10/10
Texture:
I liked the texture of Dymatize Elite Whey, like I just said, it mixed with no problem. It had the texture of a thick shake. I found I had to add a bit more water in to amke it a bit easier to drink.
Score: 8/10
Ingredients:
Dymatize Elite Whey has the nutritional makeup typical of any good whey protein isolate. 24 grams of protein per serve, a trace of fat, no carbohydrates and a solid amino acids profile. It’s slightly lower in calories than some other whey protein isolates, so this would make it good for weight loss.
Score: 9/10
Overall thoughts:
I liked it. For the price, you get a solid whey protein isolate product. They have a huge range of flavors which would definitely worth a try. I would recommend it others who are looking for a good whey protein product for weight gain or loss.

I’m surprised more guys don’t use it, everyone is using ON whey when his stuff is cheaper, has almost exactly the same ingredients, and costs less!!
I have been using Elite Whey for about 7 months and my opinions are exactly the same as the ones in this review. It’s the best value for money protein powder out there, I would recommend it to anyone
